What just happened? I was stunned to discover I’d been nominated for a Bloggies award. Being listed among the finalists is an honor, and it’s exciting to see so many talented food writers and creators represented. I’m especially grateful to the community that supported this nomination and took the time to share their encouragement.

Bakerella – And then there’s my own blog. I consider myself the underdog among these finalists, but if you enjoy playful, sweet treats and approachable dessert ideas, I’d be honored to have your vote. My goal has always been to inspire home bakers to try creative projects with simple techniques and straightforward instructions.
Funny side note: I’m glad I kept my mii cupcake in the freezer—it turned out to be just the prop I needed for this exciting moment.
