To save you the trouble, I taste-tested a wide range of items and rounded up the best gluten free festive foods you should try while they’re around.
Below are 14 gluten free Christmas foods you won’t want to miss. Many of these felt like they should be available year-round — fingers crossed they come back next year.
Gluten free spring rolls from Co-Op

When these hit the freezer aisle at Co-Op they caused quite a buzz. They’re a standout addition to Co-Op’s growing gluten free range and a very welcome option for quick party food or a festive snack.
Vegetarian gluten free Christmas sandwich from M&S

M&S’s gluten free Christmas sandwich is a classic, and this year they surprised us with a brie and grape version. It’s deliciously festive and sharp-sweet from the grapes — a seasonal treat I wish lasted beyond Christmas.
Gluten free ham and cheese croquettes from Asda

Asda added these ham and cheese croquettes to its expanding party food selection. They’re tasty, convenient and pair well with other frozen snacks — their mozzarella sticks are also a favourite.

Kent & Fraser were among the first gluten free brands I reviewed here, and they remain a favourite. Their gluten free toasts are crisp, reliable and perfect for cheese boards or canapés.
Gluten free mince pies from Mr Kipling

Mince pies are everywhere at this time of year, and it was great to see Mr Kipling launch a gluten free version. Found in Tesco, these are a tasty, nostalgic option for anyone after a familiar festive treat.
Spiced salted caramel cookies by Co-Op

These spiced salted caramel cookies are exceptional — a winning mix of festive spices, salted caramel and a chocolate layer. If you love a biscuit with depth of flavour, these are hard to beat.
Gluten free pannetone from Tesco

Tesco’s gluten free pannetone caused quite a stir when it arrived. It was my first time trying pannetone and I found it pleasantly rich and fragrant — a welcome alternative to traditional cakes.
Gluten free mozzarella pesto bites from Morrisons

Morrisons made a strong showing this year by offering many chilled party foods as gluten free. Their mozzarella bites filled with pesto are flavourful and a great addition to any sharing platter.
Gluten free salted caramel roulades from Sainsbury’s

Mini salted caramel roulades are perfect for dessert this season. Sainsbury’s offered a tempting selection of frozen roulades, and these little ones deliver on both presentation and flavour.
Gluten free mince pies and Christmas cake by Costa

Costa Coffee’s gluten free mince pie is a top pick — notably larger than many others and with a delightfully crumbly pastry. It’s a returning favourite that feels indulgent and festive.
Gluten and dairy free profiteroles by Co-Op

Salted caramel profiteroles that are both gluten and dairy free — a brilliant option for those with multiple intolerances. They’re rich, indulgent and just as satisfying as traditional versions.

Asda’s frozen chocolate torte is both gluten and dairy free, making it an excellent alternative to Christmas pudding for those who prefer a chocolate option at the end of the meal.
Gluten free chocolate and salted caramel sponge by Tesco

Tesco’s chocolate and salted caramel sponge is rich and intensely flavored — ideal for chocoholics who want a festive dessert that’s not a traditional pudding. It’s generous in taste and best enjoyed in smaller portions.
Pigs in blankets snack by M&S

M&S’s gluten free pigs in blankets are a perennial favourite and come with a lovely dipping sauce. They made my top list last year and remain a tasty party staple.
