Savory Country Breakfast Pie Recipe for Hearty Mornings

Ingredients:
1 frozen pie crust
8 ounces pork sausage, cooked, drained
1 cup frozen southern-style hash brown potatoes, thawed
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, plus extra for garnish if desired
4 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the frozen pie crust on a baking sheet to catch any spills and to make it easier to move in and out of the oven.
Evenly spread the cooked, drained sausage across the bottom of the pie crust.
Layer the thawed hash browns over the sausage, then scatter the sliced green onions and chopped red bell pepper on top.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar evenly over the vegetables.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, seasoning salt, and freshly ground black pepper until well combined and slightly frothy.
Carefully pour the egg mixture over the fillings in the crust, allowing it to settle around the ingredients.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the egg mixture is set in the center and the crust is lightly golden. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
If desired, sprinkle additional shredded cheddar and a few extra pieces of chopped red pepper on top before serving.
Allow the quiche to rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve. Makes 6 servings.
