Korean Ground Beef Stir Fry is a quick, healthy meal you can have on the table in under 30 minutes.

This recipe combines ground beef and colorful vegetables cooked in a sweetened soy-based sauce. Ground beef keeps the dish budget-friendly and convenient, but you can substitute thinly sliced beef if you prefer.
It’s become a favorite weeknight one-pot meal thanks to its simple preparation and bold flavor.

Enjoy it as a standalone dish or serve it over steamed rice for a complete meal.
How to Make Korean Ground Beef Stir Fry
- Whisk all sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and set aside.

- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, break it up, then add the diced onion.

- Cook until the beef is lightly browned, about 5–7 minutes, stirring and crumbling as it cooks.

- Add minced garlic, chopped bell peppers, broccoli florets, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes.

- Pour in the sauce, then cook, stirring often, for 3–5 minutes or until the sauce reduces slightly and coats the beef and vegetables.

- Adjust seasoning to taste, adding extra soy sauce or crushed red pepper if desired.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Serve immediately on its own or spoon over a bowl of steamed rice.

Time-Saving Tips
You can make this dish in about 30 minutes, including prep. To speed things up even more:
- Mix the sauce ahead of time and refrigerate; whisk again before using.
- Use pre-shredded or julienned carrots and pre-cut broccoli florets.
- Combine the stir-fry vegetables in a container so everything is ready to add to the pan.
Prepping ingredients in advance lets you finish the meal in roughly 15 minutes at dinnertime.

Recipe Notes
Types of Ground Beef
- Use 90% lean ground beef if you prefer less fat to drain. With 85% lean you may need to remove some excess fat after browning.
- To remove fat without transferring meat to another container: push the beef to one side, tilt the pan slightly so fat pools, then carefully blot the fat with folded paper towels using tongs to avoid burns.

Want it Spicier?
- Increase crushed red pepper in the sauce or finish servings with Sriracha for extra heat.

Enjoy!
